The Auric field


The Aura, or Auric field as it is also known, is an energy field that surrounds every living thing. It is made up of a number of seperate fields that interlock. These are also called light bodies. First we have the Etheric body, this is closest to the physical and carries the blueprint for our bodies and our organs. It is this light body which if it falls out of harmony will manifest itself in ailments and illness in the physical. Next comes the emotional light body. It is through the emotional body that we interact with others, becoming aware of their moods and feelings. The emotional body is far less stable than the Etheric and because of this it is also easier to work on with such things as crystals, to aid it and bring it back into balance. Next comes the Mental light body. It is here that we find the the way we have structered our outlook and our own personal view on reality, also our belief systems are held in place here. After this come the more subtle light bodies that hold our deep spiritual goals and asperations. These areas also link us to the universal energy that connects everything in the universe.
It is only when we become aware of the Aura and out it works, that we are able to take control of the way we interact with the universe. Spiritual development exercises work on the Aura in a very subtle way. Development strengthens our energy fields.

To illustrate how the emotional light body works, you only have to think of the times that you have felt the atmospere in a room, or place change. Time and time again you will hear expressions such as you can cut the atmosphere with a knife, or you can feel the love in a room etc etc. If you think about this, you yourself will be able to think of many such expressions that speak more about feelings that are experienced, rather than normal reality as people see it.

The stronger the Auric field the healthier and well balanced, not only mentally, but also spiritally, physically and emotionally a person is. It is through this energy field that you experience all things, both positive and negative. The weaker the Aura, the more prone to ill health, whether it is physical, emotional, or mental. It is like a shield the stronger the field, the harder negative energy has to fight to get through. But a weak Aura is like an open invitation to the negative. Negative energy shows itself in the form of such things as depression and helplessness, also feelings of being worthless and unable to concentrate. A strong field on the other hand shows itself in a person being positive and in control, as well as feeling happy.

Some people are able to see the Aura surrounding others quite easily, while others need to work on this. Most people are not aware that they are able to see the Aura around others at a deep level, that they themselves are unaware of. To illustrate this you need only think of when someone has said that a certain colour really suits you, they are picking up on your Aura colours without even being aware of it. With work and over a period of time it is possible for anyone to see this field.

To See Auras

Stand the individual 18 inches away, you want them to be in natural light, preferable against a wall that is light or white in color.

Now stare past the individual and focus on the wall. You should start to see the etheric body(energy field), (we all have one, this is a whitish grey light the eminates from the body), it will move as the person moves.

Have your practice subject breath deeply and recite the alphabet. You should notice the etheric body move with each breath. keep focusing on the wall..concentrate and keep an eye on the etheric body.

Have the person move side to side, you should notice the movement of the etheric body move, (energy field) You should start to see colors. Don't worry if you can't at first. Like everything we do in life, it takes practice.

 

Basic Aura Exercises

Hold your hands palms facing each other and bring them slowly closer together, but not touching. As you bring your palms closer, you will become aware of a feeling of resistance, it feels very like the feeling when you bring to magnets with opposing poles together, they each repell the other. As soon as you feel this resistance inbetween your hands, you have just felt your own energy field. Now try rubbing your hands together very briskly and now try the exercise again. This time the energy should be even stronger.

If you still your mind and bring your hands over plants, trees, or crystals you will feel the same pull of energy, as your energy field interacts with that of another lifeform.

 

Partnership Aura Exercise

Stand facing your partner.

Partner should stand with their arms by their sides.

Put your hands on either side of partner, about 30 cm away from body. Best area to work on is either side of arms or shoulders.

Close your eyes.

Bring your hands closer to your partners body until you feel a change in sensation. Take notice of any hot spots which could indiacte a blockage. This is simple enough to draw off and clear with your hand. Slowly cover the whole body. You may also see or sense colours in the aura.
